"Subscription dues” are your annual membership dues to the VFW.
These dues help support the mission of the VFW at the Post, State, and National levels, including veteran services, legislative advocacy, and local community programs. For VFW Post 8947, your dues also help keep our doors open and events running right here in Mineral.
Annual Membership:
You pay once a year to maintain your active membership.
Post 8947 annual dues are currently $40 (subject to change).
Dues cover 12 months from the date you joined or last renewed.
How to Pay:
Online at vfw.org (log into your account)
By mailing or delivering a check to the Post
Via Zelle to qmpost8947@vfwva.org (include "dues + your name” in the memo)
Lifetime Membership Option:
Want to avoid yearly renewals? You can upgrade to a Life Membership with a one-time payment (amount varies by age) or set up a 12-month installment plan. This makes you a permanent member with no further dues.
Auto-Renewal:
You can opt into auto-renewal through the national VFW website to make sure your membership never lapses.
